Preparing for Peace
The website of the Westmorland General Meeting 'Preparing for Peace' initiative
Use the form below to search for documents on this site containing specific words or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching documents, with better matches shown first. Each list item is a link to a matching document. A brief explanation of the query language is available, along with examples.
This search retrieves links to entire documents. If you wish to locate references within a document you can use the search facility in your browser after you have located and displayed a document. See searching documents below.
The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
finds documents containing 'information' or 'retrieval'
information or retrieval
same as above
information and retrieval
finds documents containing both 'information' and 'retrieval'
information not retrieval
finds documents containing 'information' but not 'retrieval'
(information not retrieval) and library
finds documents containing 'library', plus 'information' but not 'retrieval'
finds documents containing words starting with 'info'
You can use the search facility on this page to find a list of documents on this site containing your key words. If you click on one of the document links found then that document will be loaded and displayed on your screen.
Some of the documents here are quite long, particularly the lectures, and you may wish to search within a document to find particular text. This facility is provided by you browser and may be accessed via the browser menu at the top of your screen.
